About Stephanie Salter
Since retiring from ICU/Open Heart nursing, I have become more involved in our photography business, Digital Images, which I manage with my husband, David a biologist. We share a love of photography and all the travel and excitement of finding that “special” photo. We now spend our time photographing the grandeur of the Southwest. Our old jeep takes us to remote places where nature has been less disturbed by human interaction. Our lives are filled with art shows and volunteering at the Desert Art Center in Palm Springs, CA. where our photography can be seen daily My work includes prints on canvas, metal, and paper which can be seen at the Southwest Art Festival in Indio California in January and the 49ers Encampment at Furnace Creek in Death Valley in November.
In order to preserve the environment, we must educate both children and adults concerning the beauty and potential that the great outdoors provides. We need the open spaces for fun, relaxation, reflection, and inspiration. It is through photography then, that I hope to maximize the environmental importance of the Southwest.
