A digital photograph of a Broad-billed Hummingbird in flight. This is one of North America's most beautiful hummingbirds. Photo was taken in the Santa Rita Mountains of Southern Arizona. It wasn't until we made a print of the bird that we discovered it had been banded on the right leg.
Since retiring from ICU/Open Heart nursing, I have become more involved in our photography business, Digital Images, which I manage with my husband, David a biologist. We share a love of photography and all the travel and excitement of finding that “special” photo. We now spend our time photographing the grandeur of the Southwest.
